The IAPCHE African Conference will be hosted in collaboration with the Institute for Foundational Studies of the North-West University, the Faculty of Education of the NWU , and AROS a South African higher education institution.
Proposed central theme: "Integral Christian Scholarship in Africa"Broad sub-themes: "(i)Worldview (ii)Leadership (iii) Education"
The theme is intended to be broad-ranging so as to accommodate a variety of sub-themes by participants.
The conference will take place in Potchefstroom. It is a university town 120km to the southwest of Johannesburg. The university, which is the second largest in South Africa, is situated in a beautiful green city which provides a perfect home away from home for students. Transport from and to the OR Tambo International Airport will be provided upon request.
Accommodation ranges from very basic and inexpensive to quite upmarket. The prices range from R230 per room per night (B&B) to R870 per room per night (see the current exchange rate).
All the venues and facilities are within walking distance to each other.
The conference fee will be R1000 and will cover lunch, teas and other incidentals. The conference dinner is optional and will cost R350.00 per person.
