NAVORSING EN KUNDIGHEID

Die Sentrum vir Tekstegnologie (CTexT) is op 1 Junie 2004 as ’n selfstandige eenheid sonder winsbejag van die Navorsingseenheid: Tale en Literatuur in die Suid-Afrikaanse Konteks in die Fakulteit Lettere en Wysbegeerte aan die Noordwes-Universiteit (Potchefstroomkampus) gestig.

CTexT is die instrument waarmee die navorsingseenheid homself as ’n strategies belangrike leier op die gebied van mensetaaltegnologie (MTT) gevestig het.
Hierdie navorsings- en ontwikkelingsentrum kombineer navorsingskundiges en die noodsaaklike tegniese en administratiewe steun ten einde rigtinggewende navorsing in tekstegnologie te doen en dit as grondslag vir die ontwikkeling van innoverende en relevante tegnologiese toepassings te gebruik. Die sentrum verseker ook die langtermynvolhoubaarheid van navorsings- en ontwikkelingsaktiwiteite, wat fundamenteel is tot die daarstelling van waardevolle vennootskappe met bedryfs- en sakevennote.
