Find out more about the Short Learning Programme (Certificate) in Philosophy For the BA Hons and MPhil there are four modules to be completed, as well as a research essay (Hons) or mini-dissertation (MPhil). The classes for the modules are grouped together in ‘blocks’ of four weeks with classes only on Saturdays. This gives part-time students the opportunity to attend classes on Saturdays and do other work during the week. Students do not write closed book exams but do research assignments with formative and summative assessments as part of it.
