This recital will explore themes close to the heart, featuring carefully curated Afrikaans art songs by some of South Africa’s most celebrated composers. Audience members can look forward to an emotionally resonant journey through the language and culture, with works by Johannes Joubert, Gerrit Bon, S. le Roux Marais, Pieter de Villiers, P.J. Lemmer, and Arnold van Wyk.

The French Horn Connection

A concert showcasing the French horn and violin in a chamber setting. The repertoire is centred around Brahms' beloved horn trio, preceded by his Albumblatt, a short piece only discovered in 2011, featuring the theme of the second movement.
Also highlighted is the Mozart wind quintet, transcribed for horn, violin, and piano by Ernst Naumann, a friend of Brahms'.
